  1. The people love Tacos, even for breakfast.

  2. Mexico City is 2240m above sea level, reducing oxygen by 25%. In comparison, Ben Nevis is only 1345m.

  3. Antibiotics can be brought off the shelf.

  4. Aztecs were the last in a long line of civilisation.

  5. They love cinnamon in their coffee.

  6. It's chilli with almost everything; hot, hotter and hottest.

  7. They are proud of their Spanish heritage and don't resent its bloody history.

  8. Mexico is very modern and in places, very poor. Kids can be found beginning on the street by modern hotels and facilities.

  9. Guides still suggest there may be lost knowledge, like teleportation, given how advanced their civilisations were 1000 years ago (see picture).

  10. They love sugar (but not with tacos); as a result, Diabetes is a growing problem.
